Book Purchasing Request/Recommendation

Please let us know the Books for Learning you would like to add to the Central Library from the request form.

Precautions

□ If you are in a hurry or need temporarily, please use the Interlibrary Loan service.

Generally, it takes more than 2 weeks to select and accept for a collection.

□ For highly specialised books, please consider requesting your faculty library or laboratory.

We might share your application to the libraries as needed for library services.

□ We may not be able to meet your request due to the budget, the Collection Policy, etc.

Just for the record, we can't purchase the following items:

• Recreational books
• Books that solely advertise a group or individual
• Expensive documents each costing over 100,000 yen
• Other books or materials that are deemed suitable for individual purchase
• Resources with subscription fee
• Books included in collections of NU Libraries ⇒［Search Holdings］

□ Other notes

• There is a limit of ten per member in an academic year because we'd like to accept requests from a lot of people.
• We select between paper books and e-books on the basis of the price and the contents, etc.
  (E-books for Institution are expensive than paper books in general)
• We would appreciate it if faculty members donate copies of their own publications to the library.
