If possible, we recommend that you confirm the most recent status of a library material you wish to browse with OPAC.

Entering
- Please fill out an application form for visiting at the circulation desk in the Economics Library.
- If you have "Nagoya University Central Library card", please present the card at the circulation desk.
- Bags are not allowed inside the library. Please put your luggage in the refundable coin locker in the library lounge.
- Please keep quiet and do not eat or drink in the library.
Reading
- Library materials, except for rare books and microform materials, are located in the open stacks.
- After browsing library materials, please return them to where they were.
- Reservation is required for browsing the library materials such as rare books or microform materials. For details, please contact the circulation desk.

Use of Rare Books
- If you want to use the rare books, please contact the Economics Library in advance.
- The process takes about a week. Please contact us as soon as possible.
Borrowing
- In principle, Economics Library is not open to the public, only available for visitors (Researchers and students) who are doing research and who wish to browse specific library materials owned by the Economics Library, which are unavailable at other libraries. We do not accept inquiries from individuals about our holdings or usage. Please contact us via your university or institution's library or public library.
- Visitors of the following status can borrow the general books up to 5 copies for one month from the Economics Library by presenting their Central Library card.
- 1) Researcher/Graduate students of academic research institute who graduated from Nagoya University Graduate School/School of Economics
- 2) Researcher belongs to Institute of Developing Economies (IDE)
- Loan period can be renewed over the circulation desk. Bring your Central Library card to the circulation desk and the books you want to renew before the date due.
- If you don't have a Central Library card, please apply for issuance at the Central Library. Applicants for Status 1 need first contact the circulation desk at the Economics Library.
Photocopying
- Copying is allowed only for materials owned at the Economics Library. Library users may copy a portion of Library materials within the limit of Copyright Law, for the purpose of private study or research.
- Photocopy machine in the Economics Library is available only for faculty members and graduate students of School of Economics. If you wish to photocopy, non-circulating materials can be lent temporarily for making photo copies during library open hours. Users are required to fill in an application form for making photo copy.
